Australia Day!

Well i thought it was about time i posted something new, so i'm going to tell you all about my big day out in Sydney for Australia Day!

It started of like any normal day, though a day out with *certain people* will never end up being a normal day... Went round to pick up Krystal and Russel and go to the train station. Daniel was to meet us at the train station. Well, we get to the train station with about 10 mins to spare, and surprise surprise, the ticket machine won't give out change... So we have to run to the other side of the station, but everyone else is lined up there trying to get tickets too! Thankfully, we got the tickets and even had time to breathe before the train pulled in.

So, we were on our way. None of us had realised that it was 'Big Day Out' too, so there were a lot of people on the train drinking, which made things even more interesting... Clinton was supposed to meet us at Tuggerah. This in its self was going to be rather interesting... See, he doesn't have a mobile, so his way of finding us on the train was to 'just get on and walk up and down until he found us'... Anyway, we got to Tuggerah, and left and no Clinton appeared! I was accused of worrying by this stage.

Anyway, we finally are pulling into Hornsby and the mobile ring. It's Clinton. Yes, it was us just pulling in, and we were in the last carriage. Finally he appears. The story was that he was rushing to get his ticket at the Tuggerah train station and there was a heap of people waiting to get onto a train to go to Big Day Out, and he was behind them all. Well, they got on the train and promptly got off again. By the time Clinton had realised that they would've been looking for a special train for Big Day Out, the train had pulled off. So he jumped in his car and raced the train to Hornsby. He had parked his car in a shopping center, in a 60 minute parking zone...

Finally we were at Sydney. It was a good day, saw lots of things. Heaps of old cool cars.

That's about if for photos at the moment. I'm going to try get some of Russ and i'll post them later.

Anyway, we were all totally exhausted by the end of the day and were so sunburnt too! It was a great day. When we did decide to leave Clinton, Daniel and myself took a train to Hornsby to try and 'recover' Clinton's car, he would drive us to Tuggerah where we would get on the same train that Russ and Krystal were on. Thankfully, after a small panic attack (Clinton his time, not me!) we found the car, and it didn't even have any tickets!!

All in all, it was a great day out in Sydney, but i was glad to be home!
