Chaffs and the Library

So, it was someone's birthday and we decided to give him (not mentioning any names Braden) a nice birthdy surprise...

Ok, so it's a bit blurry, but you get the general idea of the room...Before...

The photos don't do it justice, but we put confetti everywhere... in shoes, in books, in shirt pockets, everywhere we could! And, just to make sure he knew he was loved, Weetbix was put through everything too.. In his doona-cover, in his pillow case, in his clothes... BUT, we left the room the same as when we entered it... well that was the aim anyway!

Then, we went to the library to "study". Some of us got some work done, others just slept...

My weekend in Brissie

Ok, so i posted about res school and coming home.. but the most important part was missed - my weekend in Brissie!

I got to spend the weekend with Clinton - which was just lovely, considering i hadn't seen him since before school started. He even went and bought a mattress for me to sleep on! I was willing to just sleep on the two cushions from the couch! Unfortunately, it rained the whole time i was there.

We went to church at Park Ridge, which was quite an interesting experience... i won't even to into that one! Sunday we went shopping for a while and found some good sales on books! Quite good! Me like book sales! :oD

Res School

Well, res school is now over. It was really good, but so exhausting at the same time! I now have a supervisor for my honours project. It's going to be such a huge year! I'm so over stats, but i think i understand it a bit now.. I can't believe that we were being taught PhD stuff in stats! No other undergrads get taught it, no wonder it was a bit confusing!!! Two days of stats, two days of individual assessment and then two more days of stats.. classes 9-5 and with night programs as well... i am so exhausted!

Rocky was really hot - but it was fun... well, not the class work, the girls were fun! Went out to tea a couple of times and i was crying from laughing soo hard - haven't had that in a long long time! It was so nice to get out class and just relax and have fun. I think it's the only way that a lot of us survived!

The year is going to be such a big one... doing a thesis... and still doing course work.. just this semester is 21 credit points.. *sigh* A lot of people are doing the course work this year and the thesis next year, which would be a very good idea.. but oh well... Let's just hope nothing goes wrong!

Oh, got bad news while i was in North. An old friend and boss is in intensive care, she is in a coma and they have virtually no hope for her. She's a diabetic and aparently had stopped taking her medication and just collapsed in her backyard. It's really sad... I hope she pulls through.. she's only 2 years older than me...

Well, i just hope CQU gets going soon and puts the online courses up, then i can start uni work... really need to do that considering if i don't keep up to date with the thesis it will not be pretty....
